With the COVID-19 pandemic effecting a nationwide lockdown, gyms and training facilities were subsequently forced to close to help curb the spread of the virus. Coffee Creative Studio was asked to help establish live online workouts from home with leading fitness trainers, beginning with a high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workout with Mapule Ndhlovu, to help people maintain their fitness goals, stay in shape and keep healthy while under home confinement.
The event was broadcasted live on the Medshield Movement website and Medshield’s Facebook page. Individuals could connect via their TVs, Laptops and mobile devices for the high-intensity training, which was followed by a live QnA with Mapule on additional ways to maintain optimum physical well-being while staying indoors. We also developed several digital marketing elements to promote the event, resulting in the event livestream reaching 170 000 people, and achieving over 50 000 views and fan engagement of over 20 000.
We used workout images of Mapule Ndhlovu to drive home that the event was related to fitness, supported by striking colours that catch the eye which aligned with Medshield’s Medical Scheme’s overall brand CI.
We built an all-in-one online resource centre for the Medshield Movement for people to access and enjoy the workout after the event had passed, as well as other exercise-related videos, workout programmes, meal plans, live workouts and more – everything needed to support one’s journey towards better personal fitness, health and overall well-being.
